The intellectual Studies Program aims to promote the rights and empowerment of Syrian women through education and research. Activities and initiatives

Activities and initiatives:

  • Conducting research on the challenges facing Syrian women
  • Developing policy recommendations to improve opportunities for Syrian women
  • Providing capacity-building workshops for Syrian women

Research and Analysis: Conducting research on the status of women in Syrian society, including issues such as education, employment, and political representation. The division will also analyze existing policies and laws affecting women and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • The status of women in Syrian education: This research will examine the barriers that prevent women and girls from accessing education in Syria, including issues such as poverty, cultural norms, and lack of infrastructure.
  • The representation of women in Syrian culture and intellectual fields: This research will explore the underrepresentation of women in Syrian culture and intellectual fields, including literature, arts, and media. It will also examine the barriers that prevent women from participating in these fields.
  • The impact of Syrian laws and policies on women: This research will examine the ways in which Syrian laws and policies affect women, including issues such as discrimination, violence, and access to employment and economic opportunities.
  • The role of women in the Syrian civil society: This research will explore the ways in which women have been involved in the Syrian civil society, and the barriers that have prevented their more active participation.
  • The gendered dimensions of Syrian culture and intellectual fields: This research will examine the ways in which gender shapes the experiences and outcomes of women in the Syrian culture and intellectual fields, including issues such as representation, access to resources, and discrimination.
  • The experiences of Syrian women in the diaspora: This research will examine the experiences of Syrian women living outside of Syria, including issues such as access to education, employment, and cultural participation.

Capacity Building and Empowerment: Providing training and capacity-building opportunities for women and girls in areas such as leadership, education, and vocational skills. The division will also work to empower women and girls to participate in intellectual and cultural activities.

Advocacy and Policy: Advocating for the inclusion of a gender perspective in education, culture, and intellectual fields, and for promoting policies and legislation that support the rights and participation of women and girls.

Networking and Partnership: Building and maintaining partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, institutions, and individuals working on education, culture, and intellectual fields.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitoring the progress of the intellectual studies program on women and evaluating its effectiveness. The division will also collect and analyze data to inform future program planning and implementation.
